I'm sick today. I was sick yesterday as well; more sick, actually. So I thought I'd write a little about my thoughts about being sick.
Generally, I would say that I like being sick. As long as the illness isn't that painful (like it was yesterday), being sick is pretty enjoyable for me. I get a cozy feeling whenever I'm just a little under the weather. There's something about the way it makes my insides feel icky that just makes me comfortable. I don't know how many people think of being sick as a good, comfortable thing, but I am at least one.
Maybe I find comfort in the weekness of my limbs, or the fatigue of my mind and body. Maybe it's from being able to justify lazying about. I'm not sure, but if you catch me running a slight fever chances are I'll be in a good mood.
Anyway, my week's been pretty okay. I've been doing work for my dad and chores and everything... Until yesterday at least. Ever since we got back from our trip to Washington, my whole family has been cycling through a sickness. We're lucky so it's been hitting us one at a time so it takes the maximum duration to get through everyone. I'm the last one to go, and I started yesterday.
I kind of started the day before yesterday, but for all I knew that was just allergies. The pollen count was moderate that day so it was valid that I went and hung out with all my friends! I may have gotten everyone sick, but they don't know that yet.
It all started when one of my friends invited me to go to Spirit Halloween and then have a movie night with everyone. I was considering not going because I was a little sick that day, but it looked like it was just allergies. Plus, I thought I had already had the cold since I was sick when I got back from our trip as well. Turns out I was sick with something else.
We hung out at Spirit for a bit looking around (even though we had already been to this exact Spirit a few weeks ago). I picked up demon horns for my costume and my friends got stuff for their costumes as well. When we went to purchase our stuff, I found out I had left my wallet in my car and had to run out to get it.
I also needed 3 paper masks for my costume, so I convinced everyone to walk down to Michaels which was like 12 minutes away. On the way there, we spotted a Hobby Lobby and went in in case they had the masks. They didn't. There were childrens' books that we read though.
I'm bored of writing this and I hope you're bored of reading it because we went to Michaels and there were no masks. So now my costume is low key incomplete. Anyway, where were we?
That's right! We went to the movie night and watched V/H/S. All things considered it was a mid movie with a bunch of nudity and one good scare. After that was over we turned on Zootopia (Zootropolis now) so we wouldn't go home scared (cause we're big kids). Halfway through the movie I started losing my grip on my eyelids and took a little cat nap on the floor before heading back home.
And that whole time. In that tiny little dorm room. I was breathing out virus for all of them to catch. Like a good friend does!
I feel a little bad about that but I didn't know. Yesterday I was in moderate pain, and today I'm chillin'. That's all for now, I'll probably write about the Washington trip though.
